Funeral services for Emily Riding (Mullner), June 2, 1939 to May 1, 2010 of 109 Maple Crescent were held on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at Riverview United Church in Atikokan, Ontario. Emily passed away at AGH with her loving family around her after a brief illness.
Emily was born in Barwick, Ontario and lived there with her family until the passing of her father Joseph. The family then moved to Atikokan.
Emily married George Riding on June 29, 1963 and raised three sons, Brett, Clint and Randy.
Emily had many interests in her life that all centered around her family. She will be remembered by all as a woman that always had a smile on her face and loved to laugh, especially when all the sisters were together.
Emily is predeceased by her parents Joseph Mullner and Elizabeth (Shwank), sister Helen Mullner, sister and brother-in-law Mary & Chal McCuaig, and brother-in-law Dwight Robinson.
She is survived by husband George, sons Brett (Sandy), Clint, and Randy (Nicole). Stepfather Bill Shwank. Brothers Frank Mullner (Grace), Bill Mullner (Rosanne), Ron Shwank (Christine), sisters Margaret (Gary) Lee, Ruthie Robinson, Carol (Gary) Lower, and Val (Rob) Girouard. Grandchildren Tim, Melissa, Miranda, Hope, David and Brody will all miss their Granma. She also leaves behind a large and loving extended family, and many close and dear life-time friends.
Emily was the kind of person that touched everyone’s life with goodness and love and made you a little bit better for it. She will be greatly missed by all and leave a void that can never be filled.
